    Chris DellaRocco aka “Rock” epitomizes this quote on so many levels.  In 1990, Chris was a high school baseball phenom, destined for a lucrative career in the majors.  All that came literally to a screeching halt on June 20th 1990 when he was involved in a horrific car accident in which Chris watched two of his friends die and sustained life threatening injuries including the amputation of his left arm.
    Chris persevered and adapted and refused to allow himself into the abyss of a life littered with broken dreams.  He simply recalibrated his goals, putting strategies in place to beat the adversaries in his life as well as any other opponents that came along.  
    Rock has always been a workhorse both on and off the baseball diamond but once that dream was smashed he threw himself into a new passion; that passion became mixed martial arts and stunt riding.  He kept his determination and focus and trained with Master Calasanz of Norwalk, CT.  He quickly became his star protégé.  Along with Chris’s black belt some of his highlights include receiving 1st Place in the Falcon Extreme Motorsports 2006 Off Road Warriors Stunt Quad.  He earned 3rd place at Excalibur Power Sports 2006 NEI series.  Chris also starred in TV reality show “Fighter Life” Season One on the Wand Fight Team with Hall of Famer, Wanderlei Silva, in 2009.  In 2013 he was featured in the popular magazine Rebel Ink (issue #20) with a 4 page spread, “Fearless Ink“.  
    It is a great achievement for a man to perform extraordinary acts, but even more so when done in the face of adversity and what many people would call a debilitating disability.  Anyone who calls Chris “Rock” disabled has obviously never seen him train or ride, and he does both the only way he knows how: absolutely fearless.  Chris’s mantra in life is think smart, act bold, treat people equally, play to win and be the best you can be everyday.  When the empty sleeve of Rock’s shirt flaps in the breeze, you can almost hear it say “Don’t tread on me”.
